Tonight's fish saw dawn on the lake — caught by Alessandro, cooked by Rosy.
Discover the houseThe House
In 1958 Rino and Graziella turned a centuries-old trattoria into something the lake had never seen: professional fishing and a kitchen under one roof. Today their son Alessandro — a professional fisherman since 1980 — hauls the nets before dawn, and Rosy brings the catch to the table.
"Fishermen are born, not made."

The best days here follow the water, not a schedule.
5:30 Alessandro is already out — selective, sustainable fishing, as his father taught him.
8:00 Agone, perch, lavarello — whatever the lake gives, straight from the net.
12:30 Grilled polenta and the lake's oldest recipes, a few metres from the boats.
16:00 The lakeside path to Bellagio runs past Loppia and the Villa Melzi gardens.
21:30 Back at Al Porto, the original fireplace is lit and the borgo goes still.
Cobbled lanes, a 17th-century church on the water, the little harbour of San Giovanni — and behind the house, a wide green park.
